WORK EXPERIENCE
Sheep Music Festival 2007:
Working with a team to paint 200 metres of banners in 3 days to decorate the Ambient Tent
Truro City of Lights Parade 2006:
Working as part of a team we successfully designed and created a giant willow lantern in a 2 week timescale for the parade (see picture)
General Festival Stewarding:
Skills involved: communication, friendly authority, responsibility, awareness
Beautiful Days ‘07, Sheep Music ’07, Wychwood ’06 & Wychwood ’05, Reading ‘04

Other Skills:
A wide range of working environments and volunteering has developed the following skills:
• Responsibility: opening/closing the shop and handling money as a sales assistant; health and welfare of the crowd as a festival steward
• Communication with others: essential as a waitress and part of a kitchen team; also as the communicator between factory office and factory floor employees
• Customer service skills: learned and continually improved upon in restaurant, retail, hotel and office environments
• Authority: required to be friendly but firm when dealing with crowds at festivals
• Good presentation; including neatness and cleanliness of product, environment and personal presentation is essential in all the fields I have worked in
• Efficiency: maintaining quality whilst working at speed proved essential on a factory production line
• Selling skills: gained through the making and selling of my own jewellery at fairs and in shops; good product knowledge and understanding needs was essential as a sales assistant.
